Accessibility
Kimputing aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on kimputing.com. This page says how the site is built for that, where it falls short on purpose, and how to report a problem.
How the Site Is Built
Every page works with a keyboard alone, and the element that has focus is visibly marked.
If your device asks for reduced motion, the site stops its own animations and auto-advancing slides. Every slide, phrase and logo is still reachable.
Images carry text alternatives.
The background videos have no sound and carry no information, so captions and audio description do not apply.
Known Exceptions
Three moving parts of the home page have no pause control, which WCAG success criterion 2.2.2 (Pause, Stop, Hide) asks for. Kimputing has accepted these exceptions:
The hero rotates through its slides on its own.
The closing panel's rotating line cycles through its endings on its own.
The logo strip moves on its own. It pauses while your pointer is over it, but has no pause button.
All three stop when your device asks for reduced motion, and the text of every slide is also in the page for screen reader users.
Report a Problem
If any part of this site is hard to use, tell Kimputing through the contact page. Say which page, what went wrong, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, so the problem can be reproduced.
